Class S Spectra $--$ Steep Spectra

Radio sources with steep spectra ($\alpha > 0.5$) are objects in which the dominant contribution to the observed emission is made by extended structures with typical sizes of hundred of kilo-parsecs and larger. The emission of compact cores, which is dominant in flat spectrum sources, is negligible in these objects and the emission of these sources is constant over long timescales.

Table 5.1 gives the list of the sources which we found as steep spectra and the figure 5.10 gives the plots of a few steep spectra. The number of the sources in the class is small but it is selection effect since VLA L-Band calibrators was in the xxx of the sample.
