Class C Spectra $--$ Composite Spectra

Radio sources with composite spectra (Class C1) are objects in which the contribution to the observed emission at high radio frequencies is made by the compact core of the source and at low radio frequencies is made by the extended structure of the source. In other wards, the composite spectra is flat i.e. at high radio frequencies and steep at i.e. $\alpha > 0.5$ at low radio frequencies. Also two distinct compact components can be seen in the spectrum (Class C2).

From the list of sources which we observed for this thesis, we found only two sources showing composite spectra. We give the plot of Class C1 spectra in figure 5.16. The list of sources in Class C2 is given in the table 5.7 and the figure 5.17 shows few example of sources in Class C2.
